Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TOCBidList.com and TFAPointsTracker.com (collectively, the “Sites,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handle information.
The Sites publish statistical, historical, and analytical information concerning competitive speech and debate.
1. Competitive Records
The Sites may display factual information concerning participants in competitive speech and debate.
Depending on the tournament or source, this may include:
- competitor or team names;
- school or program affiliation;
- event or division;
- tournaments attended;
- tournament dates;
- pairings and opponents;
- preliminary and elimination results;
- wins and losses;
- placement or elimination stage;
- points, bids, qualification information, and rankings; and
- analytics derived from those records.
Competitive records displayed by the Sites are generally obtained from publicly accessible third-party sources rather than submitted directly to the Sites by the competitor.
The Sites may combine, normalize, deduplicate, correct, and analyze information from multiple public sources.
2. Information Collected From Visitors
When you visit a Site, our hosting, security, analytics, or infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information such as:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- pages requested;
- referring page;
- approximate date and time of access;
- general location inferred from IP address;
- diagnostic information; and
- security or abuse-prevention information.
We may also use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for Site functionality, security, preferences, or analytics.
3. Information You Send Us
If you contact us, submit a correction, report a privacy concern, or send a legal request, we may receive:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the contents of your message;
- documents or other information you voluntarily provide; and
- information reasonably necessary to investigate your request.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate and maintain the Sites;
- compile and display competitive records;
- calculate rankings, bids, points, and other analytics;
- identify duplicate or incorrectly matched competitors;
- improve data accuracy;

- diagnose technical problems;
- understand aggregate Site usage;
- preserve historical debate records; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
5. Advertising and Analytics
The Sites may display clearly identified advertisements and promotional material.
Advertising does not alter historical tournament results, rankings, points, or other competitive records.
We do not currently use tournament performance, wins, losses, placements, rankings, or points to build advertising profiles about individual competitors.
We do not currently sell personal information to data brokers or use information collected through the Sites for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Service Providers
We may use service providers for:
- web hosting;
- content delivery;
- security;

- another privacy concern.
Requests may be sent to:
We may request information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant record or verify the request.
8. Accurate Public Competitive Records
Maintaining accurate historical competitive records is a core function of the Sites.
Accurate tournament results and other factual competitive records that were lawfully made publicly accessible will not ordinarily be removed solely because a competitor would prefer that the information no longer appear online.
For example, we do not ordinarily remove an accurate:
- tournament appearance;
- win or loss;
- elimination result;
- placement;
- ranking;
- points record; or
- bid record
solely because the individual considers the result unfavorable or embarrassing.
We may nevertheless correct, suppress, anonymize, or remove information where:
- required by applicable law;
- the information is inaccurate;
- the information was not appropriately public;
- a significant safety or privacy concern exists; or
- exceptional circumstances otherwise justify doing so.
9. Children Under 13
The Sites are not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13.
Competitive records are generally obtained from publicly accessible third-party sources rather than submitted directly by competitors.
If you reasonably believe that a record displayed by a Site identifies a child under 13, contact:
We will review the record and may suppress, anonymize, or remove identifying information where appropriate.
If we learn that we directly collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances governed by applicable children's privacy law, we will take appropriate steps concerning that information.
10. Teen Competitors
Many competitive high-school speech and debate participants are minors.
The Sites therefore seek to limit public competitor records to information reasonably related to participation and competitive results.
The Sites are not intended to publish competitors':
- home addresses;
- personal telephone numbers;
- personal email addresses;
- precise residential geolocation;
- financial information;
- government identification numbers;
- health information; or
- similar sensitive information unrelated to competition.
If such information appears, please contact corrections@tocbidlist.com.
11. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain processing practices.
Those rights may be subject to exclusions and exceptions, including exclusions concerning publicly available information.
To submit a privacy request, contact:
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity or authority to make the request.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits privacy rights provided by applicable law.
12. Retention
Competitive records may be retained for extended periods because maintaining historical tournament results is a core function of the Sites.
Historical records may be used for:
- rankings;
- tournament histories;
- school histories;
- bid tracking;
- points calculations; and
- other longitudinal analytics.
Communications, correction requests, privacy requests, security logs, and technical records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for their applicable operational, security, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
13. Search Engines and Third Parties
Public Site pages may be indexed, cached, archived, quoted, linked to, or copied by third parties.
If we modify or remove information from a Site, copies may remain in search-engine caches, archival services, screenshots, third-party databases, or other systems that we do not control.
We cannot guarantee removal from third-party systems.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information under our control.
No website, network, transmission method, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The current version will be posted with its effective date.
